Here’s our guide to the essential appliances for a cozy summer home.

The air intake mode of the gas stove is the key technology to determine the combustion efficiency and use experience. How air enters the stove and mixes with gas not only affects the strength of the fire, but also directly affects the safety and cleanliness of the family kitchen. At present, the two technical routes of the mainstream upward air intake and the full air intake have their own advantages and limitations.

(1)、What is the gas stove into the wind

The proper operation of the gas stove depends on the thorough mixing of gas and air. The so-called air intake refers to the process of air entering the stove burner. The oxygen contained in the air is a necessary condition for gas combustion, and the air intake mode directly determines the mixing efficiency of gas and air, which in turn affects the combustion adequacy, thermal efficiency and exhaust emission level. According to the different air entry paths, modern gas stoves are mainly divided into two mainstream technical routes: full air intake and upward air intake.

(2)、Full air intake mode

Full air intake, also known as three-dimensional air intake or upper and lower double air intake, is designed to retain the lower air intake channel while increasing the secondary air supplement inlet above the panel.

1. working mode

In full-inlet stoves, the burner is provided with two air passages:

①. Lower inlet air

The damper adjusting plate at the bottom of the stove sucks in primary air and completes the initial mixing with the gas in the ejector pipe.

②. Upper air intake

Air enters from the gap between the furnace head and the pot frame as secondary air to supplement the oxygen required for the external flame combustion.

2. advantages

①. Good combustion stability

The air door of the full-intake stove has a large adjustment range, and the user can accurately adjust the air-fuel ratio according to the type of gas source (natural gas, liquefied gas), and the combustion state is relatively stable.

②. Strong firepower

As the air supply is sufficient and adjustable, it is suitable for frying needs.

Cor. strong adaptability

Even if the cabinet ventilation conditions are poor, the upper air intake can still ensure the basic oxygen supply, and the full air intake stove has strong environmental adaptability.

3. limitations

①. Limited installation conditions

The installation of the full-air stove has clear requirements for the cabinet, and the interior of the cabinet must be ventilated, otherwise it may lead to insufficient combustion, excessive carbon monoxide and other conditions.

②. Difficult to clean

The bottom of the stove may be dirt due to the airflow carrying dust, and it is difficult to clean up after the soup has penetrated.

③. Occupied space

The air duct structure shall be reserved for the bottom shell of the stove, and the overall thickness is usually larger than that of the upper air intake product.

(3)、Upper air intake mode

The upward wind is a reconstruction of the traditional way of entering the wind. Its core features are: the bottom shell of the stove is completely enclosed, and all air inlets are set above the height of the stove panel.

1. working mode

①. A precise air passage is designed between the furnace head and the fire cover, and all primary air and secondary air enter from above.

②. The mixing process of gas and air is completed above the stove, and the bottom shell is completely isolated from the internal space of the cabinet.

2. main advantages

①. Safety improvement

After the bottom shell is sealed, even if the gas pipeline under the stove leaks, the gas cannot enter the cabinet and accumulate.

②. Easy to clean

There is no air inlet at the bottom, the soup will not flow into the stove when it overflows, and the cleaning range is limited to the surface of the panel.

③. Anti-airflow interference

The air inlet is concentrated in a specific area above the panel. When the kitchen window is opened or the smoke exhaust machine is opened, the flame is less disturbed by the airflow, and the small fire state is more stable.

3. limitations

①. Limited firepower limit

Since the air is completely supplied from above, insufficient air supply may occur under heavy load conditions, and the heat load is usually lower than the top full-intake stove.

②. The air door is not adjustable or the adjustment range is small

Most of the upper air intake stoves adopt fixed air door design, which avoids the trouble of adjustment, but its adaptability to air source is slightly inferior to that of full air intake.

③. High structural accuracy requirements

The upper air intake cooker completely relies on the furnace head and the fire cover to eject air. If the manufacturing tolerance is not properly controlled, it is easy to cause backfire or flame separation due to the imbalance of gas and air mixing ratio.

(4)、How to choose the two ways of air intake?

1. Preferential selection of the upper air inlet stove:

①. Cabinet is fully enclosed design, or under the stove need to install disinfection cabinet, oven, drawer and other equipment.

②. Home cooking is mainly stewed and fried, and the demand for extreme firepower is not high.

③. Pay attention to the convenience of cleaning the stove, hoping to reduce the sanitary dead angle.

④. The budget is relatively adequate and willing to invest more in installation flexibility and safety.

2. The situation of full air intake stove can be considered:

①. Under the stove is an open cabinet, or there are special ventilation holes.

②. Cooking habits are mainly high-intensity stir-fry for a long time, and the upper limit of firepower is extremely high.

③. Limited budget and good installation conditions.

④. The kitchen is well ventilated and the user is familiar with the damper adjustment method.

Conclusion

The choice of air intake mode is essentially a match between the user's life scene and the technical characteristics. Full air intake is known for its strong firepower and flexible adjustment, and is suitable for families with frequent stir-frying and well-ventilated cabinets. The top air intake takes safety, easy cleaning and free installation as its core advantages, which is in line with the pursuit of cleanliness and convenience in modern kitchens. Consumers choose to return to their own cooking habits and installation conditions from time to time. Only when matched properly can the best balance between stove performance and daily experience be achieved.
